Seafood is a way of life in Panama City Beach, so much so that the city is known as the "Seafood Capital of the World." Fresh catches are unloaded daily at the docks and some restaurants will even let you pick your entrée fresh off the boat. You'll find a heavy Cajun influence in many recipes, so be sure to try some spicy crawdad etoufee or traditional gumbo. If Gulf scallops or swordfish steak don't tempt your palate, we're sure to entice you with a juicy steak, or with some of the tastiest homemade barbecue in the state. Your choices are endless, from Italian to New Orleans-style to Mexican to pub fare and everything in between. And if you want to turn your dining experience into a festival, be sure to join us for our annual Indian Summer Seafood Festival, which is held the second week in October each year. The festival boasts a diverse group of food vendors, live entertainment, arts & crafts, children's activities, exhibits and demonstrations. No matter what your desire, there are numerous casual seaside dining spots as well as award-winning fine-dining establishments to be found in Panama City Beach. |
